100% Truck Bed Access
The biggest advantage of the RetraxPRO EZ-OFF is simple:
You can remove the canister when you need your entire truck bed.
With most traditional retractable tonneau covers, the front canister remains permanently installed.
For everyday use, that may not be an issue.
But when you need to haul:
Furniture
Appliances
ATVs
Motorcycles
Large equipment
Construction materials
Camping equipment
Oversized boxes
Landscaping supplies
that front canister can reduce the amount of usable bed space.
The RetraxPRO EZ-OFF allows you to quickly disconnect and remove the cover assembly so the entire truck bed becomes available.
Once you’re finished hauling oversized cargo, the cover can be reinstalled and returned to normal retractable operation.
21% More Bed Access Than Traditional Retractable Covers
RealTruck designed the FRC-4000 specifically to address one of the biggest compromises of a retractable tonneau cover: lost bed space.
With the EZ-OFF system removed, the truck receives 100% bed access, providing approximately 21% more usable bed access than a traditional retractable tonneau cover.
That gives truck owners the best of both worlds:
The everyday convenience of a retractable cover.
And the ability to have a completely open truck bed when necessary.
Quick-Click EZ-OFF Removal System
The RetraxPRO EZ-OFF uses a patented quick-release system designed to make removing the cover assembly straightforward.
Integrated EZ-OFF lift handles allow the canister assembly to be disconnected and lifted out when additional cargo space is needed.
Instead of treating the tonneau cover as a permanent fixture in the truck bed, the EZ-OFF design gives you the flexibility to change your setup depending on what you’re hauling.
For truck owners who regularly switch between everyday driving and hauling large cargo, this is one of the most significant advancements available in a retractable tonneau cover.
Integrated T-Slot Rails
The RetraxPRO EZ-OFF isn’t only designed around bed access.
It also includes integrated T-slot rails, giving you the ability to mount compatible racks and cargo accessories above the tonneau cover.
Depending on your truck and rack system, compatible accessories may include:
- Crossbars
- Bike racks
- Kayak carriers
- Cargo baskets
- Cargo boxes
- Overland racks
- Rooftop tent systems
- Ski and snowboard carriers
- Camping equipment
- Work accessories
- Outdoor gear
The T-slot rails dramatically expand the functionality of the truck bed.
You can keep cargo protected underneath the tonneau cover while carrying additional equipment above it.
Built-In Storage Feet
Once the RetraxPRO EZ-OFF is removed, storing it is simple.
The canister incorporates integrated storage feet, allowing it to stand safely when it isn’t installed on the truck.
Depending on available space, the removed assembly can be stored in places such as:
Your garage
Shop
Truck bed
Storage area
Back seat on compatible vehicles
This helps protect the cover while keeping it ready for quick reinstallation.

What Makes the RetraxPRO EZ-OFF Different?
Traditional retractable tonneau covers use a permanent canister mounted at the front of the truck bed.
That design provides smooth retractable operation, but the canister takes up some usable cargo space.
The RetraxPRO EZ-OFF FRC-4000 changes that.
Its patented EZ-OFF system allows the retractable cover and canister assembly to be quickly removed when you need maximum cargo space.
That means you get the everyday convenience of a Retrax retractable tonneau cover while still having the ability to regain 100% of your truck bed when hauling larger items.
